IIT Kanpur Invites students for the summer Internship under the SURGE (Students-Undergraduate Research Graduate Excellence) Program. Students from IITK and other institutes can apply for this internship. An award plus a commendation certificate will be provided if students perform well during the training period. The Duration of the Program will be approximately 10 weeks.

1. Student from Nepal and Bhutan Can Apply for this internship
2. Non IITK Indian Students
3. IITK Students
*Non IITK students required to pay 500 registration Fees.
Eligibility Criteria
1. SURGE For Other Countries
- a). B.Tech/BE/B-Arch/BS (3rd year completed),
- b). Five-year degree program (3rd year completed, 4th year completed)
- c). B.Sc/B.A. (2nd year completed)

2. SURGE For Non IITK Indian Students
- a). B.Tech/BE/B-Arch/BS (3rd year completed),
- b). Five year degree program (3rd year completed, 4th year completed)
- c). B.Sc/B.A. (2nd year completed)
- d). M.Sc. 2-Year (1st year completed)

3. SURGE for IITK at IIT Kanpur
- a). B.Tech/BS (2nd,3rd year completed),
- b). Dual Degree (2nd, 3rd, 4th year),

Stipend Details
There are 4 types of Stipend students will get:
1.Funding From SURGE:
Students working under “Funding from SURGE” will receive a stipened of Rs12500.
2.Funding From IITK Project
This will provide a chance to the students to work on the projects which is funded by IIT Kanpur faculty.
3.Self Funded
In this students will work on the projects of faculty members of IIT Kanpur but without any funding.
4.Industry-IITK tie up
Only IIT Kanpur students can participate under this. The stipend will be paid by the Industry.
